We treat children's and families' data with the utmost care. This policy explains what Tinda stores, why, who can see it, and how we protect it.

1Who we are

Tinda is a kindergarten and nursery management platform run by Marwa Ali, based in Al Ghubrah North, Bawshar, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman.

The subscribing kindergarten owns the data of its children, families and staff, and is responsible for collecting it and obtaining parents' consent.
Tinda processes this data on the kindergarten's behalf for one purpose only: running the system for it.

Kindergarten account details: name and logo, and the director's name, phone and email.
What the kindergarten enters: children and parents, attendance and pick-up, daily reports and photos, assessments, documents, messages, invoices and payments, and staff and payroll records.
Technical data needed to operate: sign-in records, an audit log of actions, devices registered for notifications, and a staff member's location at check-in if the kindergarten enables it.

To run the system for the kindergarten and parents, provide support, and issue subscription invoices.
We never sell data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone for marketing.

Each kindergarten's data is fully isolated from every other kindergarten.
Within a kindergarten, each user sees only what they need: teachers see their class, accountants see finance, and parents see only their own children.
The Tinda team only views a kindergarten's data to provide support, read-only, for a limited time, and the director is notified.

Data and files are stored with trusted cloud providers (Supabase for the database and files, Vercel to run the website), whose servers may be outside Oman.
Connections are encrypted, every user has their own password, and private files open only through short-lived links after a permission check.

No child's photo is published publicly without the parent's consent, which can be withdrawn at any time.
Tinda never contacts children directly; accounts are for the kindergarten and parents only.

We keep data for as long as the kindergarten subscribes.
When a subscription ends, we give the kindergarten a copy of its data on request, then delete it within 30 days of a deletion request, except where the law requires us to keep it.

Parents may view, correct and ask to delete their own and their children's data. Please contact the kindergarten first, or reach us directly on WhatsApp.
We comply with Oman's Personal Data Protection Law (Royal Decree 6/2022).

We may update this policy. The date of the latest update is shown above, and we inform subscribing kindergartens of any material change.
